Destroy All Humans remake development details revealed
The upcoming remake of Destroy All Humans has been shown off in gameplay demos at E3, and some interesting details have been revealed.
In an interview and gameplay demo with Meteorite Games, Developer Black Forest Games emphasised that Destroy All Humans is a full-on remake, not a remaster.
A representative from Black Forest went into detail, revealing that the game was built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 4, saying, ‘We put a lot of effort into making the cut scenes much more elaborate; it’s all motion captured.’
He then went to give an idea of the size of the project, saying, ‘On the game there is more than 60 people… So yeah, huge team, everybody big fans of the game.’
It was also stressed that the team at Black Forest Games has kept lots of the original game’s charm and writing: ‘As you can see from the characters, there facial movements and all this kind of stuff have been much more improved, but we kept the original dialogue – the banter between these two aliens.’
The remake of Destroy All Humans is out in 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
